Weekend News October 17, 2014
Andrew had a great weekend! He went picking for apples and pumpkins. He got 3 full bags of apples and 3 pumpkins. After he got the pumpkins and apples, he went to the bouncy house. It was so fun when he did a forward flip! After the bouncy house, Andrew packed up and went home. I was a good day.
It was a good weekend for Clive. He went bike riding with his brother Axel and best friend Louis, to go geocashing. The first geocash was pretty hard to find, the second one we rode right past, but we figured it out and found it. The third one was the hardest and took 15 minutes to find. It was a great time.
The weekend was good for Benji. His friends from the border of Indiana and Kentucky visited. He had a soccer game on Sunday, so they came to watch. On Friday night and Saturday they played baseball. When he played soccer it went from sunny to rainy. It was hard to play soccer. He was goalie the first half. When he had a goal kick he tried to kick it as hard as he could, but it only got a tiny bit out. Then he kicked it and it went far. In the second half he shot so many balls but they missed the goal. At the end of the game Benji shot one ball and it hit the post! Then he shot another ball and it went right at the goalie. Then the game was over and his team won!
Max had a great weekend. He had a baseball game. Max’s team won 9 to 3. It was cold. After the game, Max ate a cake. He ate a salty pretzel with cheese. It was so good!
This weekend was good for Addison. He went to watch the football game with his Dad. The watched it at his Grandma’s house. Arizona lost against USC. It was 26 to 28. The Arizona kicker missed the field goal. Addison and his Dad were sad and mad.
Charlie’s weekend was great. On Saturday, Charlie went to a pumpkin patch with Grace and mom. They saw the Harry Potter exhibit. They do it every year. They went through a haunted house. Grace saw a zombie looking at her. Then they went to a pumpkin patch and saw loads of pumpkins. They picked 3 to 4 pumpkins. They paid and went home.
Lala had a great weekend. She had a play date with Amalia. They ate goldfish, and Lala ate fruit strips. She carried the cash register. Then Lala and Amalia watched The Croods.
Brandon had a fun weekend! He played MarioKart with his dad. He used the easy controller. His dad used the hard one. Brandon won all the rounds. He got a lot of coins. One course was hard. He got seventh place but his dad got 12th. When the game was over they unlocked a bike. It was the Yoshi bike. Brandon doesn’t like bikes. They are too hard to control. Brandon got 9th place once with using the bike. Then they played the Flower Cup. There was one court that had a lot of objects in it. They got last place on that. Then they decided to stop. It was a great weekend.
It was a good weekend for Dajon. He stayed at home. He ate some food and watched TV. He went outside and that is his weekend news. He was happy. He went to church.
Makeda had a great weekend. She had a softball game against madcity labs. Her team lost 15 to 12. Makeda had to be catcher, pitcher, 1st base, 3rd base, left field, and bench. Makeda finished her first season. Makeda had an epic weekend. Before she started, Makeda was not very good. She has progressed since she started.
It was a fun weekend for Abram. The fun started on Saturday night when his dad got some boards and brought them back to their house only for them to be taken out in the morning. Then Abram’s dad sawed the boards into pieces, with the help of Abram. They brought the boards upstairs into Abram’s bedroom. They took the top bed off of Abram’s bunk bed and moved both into his sisters’ bunk bed. The boards were for a part of the bunk bed that Abram broke. He got their Queen bed. Abram had a comfortable weekend.
Max B. had a great weekend. He woke up on a nice sunny Friday so he got out of bed and started to his living room. When he got there his mom was already up and he said “can I have some breakfast mom?” and she said “what do you want?” and he said “some toast with peanut butter” so she started making some. When she was done he ate it all up fast. While he was eating fast he was also watching tv. Then he went to get dressed and brush his teeth. After he was done he put his tennis shoes on, slipped his sweatshirt on, and put his backpack on. Then he went to his garage go his bike out and started riding with his sister.
Meadow had a great weekend, and skipped school on Friday to drive up to Springfield. It took four hours to get there. Her mom had gotten her an advanced award. Her mom got her a book called: “The Wimpy Kid Do It Yourself Book.” Meadow loved the book her mom gave her. She worked on the book for three hours. After they got to her Grandma’s house, Meadow got her dog, named Wilson, out. Her grandma loved him. They went to a park in Springfield, IL. Meadow and her mom, dad, and grandma went out to dinner. The next day, she saw her uncle who lives in Energy, IL. It was cold outside at the park across the street so they had a fire. They had lunch together and at 3:30 they had to leave. They drove two hours until they ate dinner. In the morning, Meadow’s dad went and got her grandma. They ate at a restaurant called Cracker Barrel. After they ate, Meadow bought herself a binkie-boo. Tehn they went to a little festival. At 1:00 they dropped Meadow’s grandma off at her apartment and got on the road.
Sofia Witzman had an awesome weekend, but she can only tell you about a few. It all started with a great morning. The first thing she did was go to her brother’s soccer game at Van Hise. Since she didn’t live far from her school she asked her mom if she could ride her bike there and her mom said yes. But Sofia’s brother Sebastian could not because her dad was the coach and of course her brother was a teammate, so they had to be there right away. So she started riding her bike, and all of a sudden her mom said “stop” and she said “why?” and her mom said “There’s a Wood Pecker.” Sofia said “really?” her mom said “yes” and as she crept closer all of a sudden she saw it. “So cool” she said to her mom. So she went back to her bike and started riding her bike to the field when she got there she saw her friend Josie, and then her mom Tyra and her mom said Tyra was at her soccer game but she will be here. So before she knew it she was here. They went to the playground, and before she knew it the game was over. It was a great weekend.
The weekend was great for Lewis! He had 2 play dates with Clive. On Sunday Louis biked over to Clive’s house while Axel was playing Frisbee golf with Dave. Louis joined Axel and Dave. Then Louis, Clive, Axel and Dave hopped on their bikes and went Geocaching. Louis, Dave, Clive, and Axel found another Geocashe in the woods at Island drive. Then Louis, Clive, Axel, and Dave went to Clive’s cousin’s house. Shortly after Louis, Dave, Clive and Axel went back to Clive and Axel’s house to lock the door. Then Louis’ dad came over. Then Dave came over to pick Louis up. Then Louis went home. On Saturday Louis went ton a 3 mile total bike ride to Babcock Hall to get ice cream. First Louis, Bernie, Dave, Clive and Axel hopped on their bikes and rode to Babcock Hall. Bernie, Dave, Louis, Clive and Axel all got Pumpkin pie ice cream. Then Louis, Clive, and Axel got Cheetos, sour cream, and onion potato chips and Doritos. Then Bernie, Dave, Louis, Clive and Axel rode back to their houses. Louis went to Clive and Axel’s house. There the kids played Mariokart. Then he went home. It was a great weekend.
This weekend Nora went to a pumpkin patch with her family. When Nora got there, she went to pick a pumpkin. Nora got a yellowish pumpkin with a bumpy top. When Nora’s Aunty Jessica got there, Nora asked her if she could go in the corn maze and she said yes as long as they would also go in the haunted grainery. Everyone also went on this awesome slide that goes through a hill! Nora went on the bumpy slide with her cousin Hannah. They also went oin a hay barn. It had a sandbox with no sand in it because there were …kernels of CORN!! It was a good weekend for Nora.

Weekend review from Mrs. Powell’s class on October 6, 2014
The movie was awesome. Brandon got to see it on Saturday night at 9:30. It ended at 11:30. Brandon fell asleep for most of the movie. Brandon got to see some bloody and action parts. The main character was named Robert. There was a lot of violence in the movie. Brandon got to see at least half of the movie, which is an hour. When Brandon and his uncle walked in the movie theater they only saw adults and teenagers. In the room they saw 1 adult and 10 teenagers. Brandon thinks the teenagers thought he was 10 or 13. When they left Brandon was tired. When they got home the rushed down stairs and slept on the couch. Brandon wanted to sleep down stairs so he could watch TV on the big screen downstairs to sleep. He first watched Family Guy then Batman. He wishes he could go to the movies every day.
One morning the sun was peeking in her window the bright light woke her up. She hopped out of bed, grabbed a snack from the cupboard, turned on the TV on and relaxed. When it was 9:00 Amalia woke her mom up then they had delicious waffles!!! And an hour after they finished, Amalia’s dad woke up. At 1:00 they left fo the movie theater in Fitchburg on their bikes. They went past a beautiful prairie. Once they got to the movies they saw the Boxtrolls. It was AWESOME!!
Max had a baseball game this weekend. Max’s team lost 2 -11. Max struck out 3 people as a pitcher. Mike, Kevin and Max’s mom were all at the game. He saw Addison and his brothers at the park. They are now 8 and 3.
This Saturday Louis had a great Saturday with Clive. First they drove to Euster’s Farm. Second of all they went into the spooky silo 2 times. Then they went into the Haunted House 2 times. Then they watched 2 puppet shows. Then they went into the Haunted House 6 times. Then they watched 2 Wayne the Wizard magic shows. Then they took the tractor to the pumpkin patch. Clive’s pumpkin was the biggest. Louis’ pumpkin was the 2nd biggest, Dave’s was the 3rd, Axel’s was the 4th. Then they had lunch. They had a hot dog, a pumpkin cookie, and a hot cocoa. Then Louis and Clive went in to the spooky silo 2 more times. The next day Louis’ friend from Delafield named Reed came over. Firs they played airplane till it was time to go to the fields with Reed. The kite got stuck in the tree 2 times. Then Louis and Reed went home. Then Celia and Dad came back with the kite and a branch (because they got the kite out with a branch). Then Louis and Reed had lunch. Then they played Crash the Airplanes. Then Reed went home. It was a great weekend for Louis.
On the weekend Sophia went over to Nora’s house. When she got there she, Nora, and Sebastin went in Nora’s room, but Nora didn’t want to let them in. She said “Hey stop, I don’t want to let you in. So don’t try to get in!” but they did and Nora said, “please get out of my room.” And they didn’t because they stayed in. Then finally they went out. Then Nora and Henry wrestled a little then Nora’s mom said they had to stop. Then they did. That is what Nora did on her weekend. The End!
This weekend Clive went out to dinner. Clive had a plate of pot stickers. It was yummy. Then he went to Clive’s cousin’s house and then went home. It was a great weekend.
It was a great weekend for Sophia Weitzman. In the morning Sophia had to go to her brother’s soccer game. When they got to the inside soccer place they and one other teammate went to go practice until they found out what field they were on. Sophia went too, she really wanted to see what it felt like. So her dad threw a ball to her and played a little and before she knew it, it was starting. It was really cool because she got to sit in the bleachers. She had a great view. Before she knew it it was time to go. Sophia and her family had a blast.
Andrew went to Sentry and sold some popcorn. Andrew and Patrick were the best sellers. But who knows Henry and Nathan might come back and get the nerf gun. Here’s a list of the best sellers: Andrew, Patrick, Nathan and Henry. Lots of people gave us donation and some people gave us $40.
Lila went to a birthday party in her cul-du-sac. She played on baby piano. They played spies. The part was for her friend Oscar. There was a vanilla cake with chocolate icing that had a bulldozer on the top. He likes trucks. He turned 5 years old.
There were clouds in the sky and Makeda was on her way to choir. When she got there she put here bag under her chair and said bye to her mom and Zeke (her baby brother). She started talking to her friend Lindesay. Then after everyone got there they started. Her choir teacher Lisa led the group in some warm ups. After that they worked on some songs and they got some new ones. All of Makeda’s songs are in Latin. Makeda had an epic weekend!
Meadow rode her bike with her Dad down to the farmer’s market. It was sprinkling very lightly. She enjoyed her bike ride. She loves her dad very much. When she got home she was kind of cold. She had got her breakfast at the farmer’s market and brought it home to eat. It was delicious. She loved that morning.
This weekend was awesome. The first thing that happened was Max B’s grandparents came to his house. When they came they had presents but she always says one present a day. He doesn’t like it but he can live with it. Anyways when his grandparents come his parents leave and his grandparents babysit him and his sister Grace. His parents go to Door County for five days. He wishes they could stay for a shorter time but he doesn’t really mind. “Well that’s it for this time bye-bye.”
This weekend Abbie finished the 4th Harry Potter. Her mom told Abbie that the end was scary but it was not. All of that happened on Saturday. On Sunday she watched the 4th Harry Potter movie it was not that scary either. It was a fun weekend.
This weekend Addison went to a store. He got candy he said yum. It was cold. He went home to his new house and had to go to baseball. He won 10 to 3. It was a good day for Addison.
Benji had a big soccer game. And he was goalie. And when he was practicing goalie, too many people were shooting soccer balls. One ball hit him in the face. Meanwhile the game started. Benji was doing great being goalie. Then it was the second half. Benji was on the right. He scored one goal and did a great job passing. Then the game was over. It was 15-0. Benji won.
The weekend was a BLAST for Emma. She went to her friend Isaac’s house. When she arrived, everybody was hanging out downstairs. They have a finished basement, by the way. The kids were: Emma, Tyra (and her little brother and sister), Lauren (a 2nd grader that Emma doesn’t know too well), Sam, Isaac, Emma Mistele, Lauren’s little brother, Livi, her little brother Finn and Zoey. When the kids went upstairs, Emma noticed that Trya had brought her little pug, Chewie. Isaac has a BIG dog called Louie. He is a goldendoodle, a cross between a golden retriever and a poodle. Louie and Chewie play fought with each other. Later on, Emma, Sam, and Emma Mistele played house. It was the odd version. In the first part Emma Mistele was the grandma and Sam was the grandpa. Emma was the 9-year-old. In the second part, Emma Mistele was the mom, Sam was the dad, and Emma was the 2-year-old. What an awesome weekend.
The constant sound of cars on a highway was all that Abram could hear for about four hours. Last Friday Abram, and his family (he missed school) for three days to Minocqua. His uncle has a cabin in Minocqua that they go to a lot. It got so cold that it SNOWED! So that was exciting for him. It was so cold that the lake was steaming! His favorite part was when he went on a hike the last hours of the trip. They started the same as the day before but at the first turn instead of turning they went straight. The went down the trail and had a lot of fun. Abram had a awesome weekend.

Lila went to a birthday party in her cul-du-sac. She played on baby piano. They played spies. The part was for her friend Oscar. There was a vanilla cake with chocolate icing that had a bulldozer on the top. He likes trucks. He turned 5 years old.
There were clouds in the sky and Makeda was on her way to choir. When she got there she put here bag under her chair and said bye to her mom and Zeke (her baby brother). She started talking to her friend Lindesay. Then after everyone got there they started. Her choir teacher Lisa led the group in some warm ups. After that they worked on some songs and they got some new ones. All of Makeda’s songs are in Latin. Makeda had an epic weekend!
Meadow rode her bike with her Dad down to the farmer’s market. It was sprinkling very lightly. She enjoyed her bike ride. She loves her dad very much. When she got home she was kind of cold. She had got her breakfast at the farmer’s market and brought it home to eat. It was delicious. She loved that morning.
This weekend was awesome. The first thing that happened was Max B’s grandparents came to his house. When they came they had presents but she always says one present a day. He doesn’t like it but he can live with it. Anyways when his grandparents come his parents leave and his grandparents babysit him and his sister Grace. His parents go to Door County for five days. He wishes they could stay for a shorter time but he doesn’t really mind. “Well that’s it for this time bye-bye.”
This weekend Abbie finished the 4th Harry Potter. Her mom told Abbie that the end was scary but it was not. All of that happened on Saturday. On Sunday she watched the 4th Harry Potter movie it was not that scary either. It was a fun weekend.
This weekend Addison went to a store. He got candy he said yum. It was cold. He went home to his new house and had to go to baseball. He won 10 to 3. It was a good day for Addison.
Benji had a big soccer game. And he was goalie. And when he was practicing goalie, too many people were shooting soccer balls. One ball hit him in the face. Meanwhile the game started. Benji was doing great being goalie. Then it was the second half. Benji was on the right. He scored one goal and did a great job passing. Then the game was over. It was 15-0. Benji won.
The weekend was a BLAST for Emma. She went to her friend Isaac’s house. When she arrived, everybody was hanging out downstairs. They have a finished basement, by the way. The kids were: Emma, Tyra (and her little brother and sister), Lauren (a 2nd grader that Emma doesn’t know too well), Sam, Isaac, Emma Mistele, Lauren’s little brother, Livi, her little brother Finn and Zoey. When the kids went upstairs, Emma noticed that Trya had brought her little pug, Chewie. Isaac has a BIG dog called Louie. He is a goldendoodle, a cross between a golden retriever and a poodle. Louie and Chewie play fought with each other. Later on, Emma, Sam, and Emma Mistele played house. It was the odd version. In the first part Emma Mistele was the grandma and Sam was the grandpa. Emma was the 9-year-old. In the second part, Emma Mistele was the mom, Sam was the dad, and Emma was the 2-year-old. What an awesome weekend.
The constant sound of cars on a highway was all that Abram could hear for about four hours. Last Friday Abram, and his family (he missed school) for three days to Minocqua. His uncle has a cabin in Minocqua that they go to a lot. It got so cold that it SNOWED! So that was exciting for him. It was so cold that the lake was steaming! His favorite part was when he went on a hike the last hours of the trip. They started the same as the day before but at the first turn instead of turning they went straight. The went down the trail and had a lot of fun. Abram had a awesome weekend.
Dajon went to the movies he watched Maleficent. They ate popcorn and drank soda and ate a piece of candy. He thought the movie was interesting. Maleficent was Dajon’s favorite and this is my weekend news.

Saturday was an excellent day for Amalia. She went to Duck Soup Cinema. She laughed her brain, her eyes, her nose, her hands, and her fingers off!! First she saw a lady singing strange songs. Second, she saw a man singing funny awesome songs!! Third, there was a juggling man; he was ridiculously funny and awkward. Then there was the intermission. After the intermission there was a hilarious black and white movie.
This weekend was fun! The first that Max B. did was Louis’s birthday party at Rainbow Play Systems. When he got there he took off his shoes and went to jump on the trampoline. Then they played a game called girls vs boys. This is how you play. Girls chase boys first for a while, and then someone calls out boys chase girls so they do, and you keep doing that. Then we had cake. There was chocolate cake, carrot cake and vanilla cupcakes. Max had chocolate cake. It was amazing. Then they played again and it was fun. They opened present. He got Louis a Mario Cart puzzle and Louis liked it.
Meadow had a great weekend; she went to Louis’s birthday party. She had a great time. At the beginning they played a game. The boys sometimes had to get the two girls, well there were really three girls but one girl joined the boy’s team so two were on the girl’s team. Towards the end she got on a trampoline with three other kids on. And then an adult came on for a while. After that another parent came on. He jumped the kids really high. It was hard to stand up after they fell down. Then her mom came. She wanted to have her birthday party there. She did not want to go but she had to. She loved it.
The weekend was good for Nora. She went to the Harry Potter farm. At the farm she and Misha picked pumpkins and berries. Nora got 2 medium ones and Misha got 1 medium, 1 small and 1 large pumpkin. They went in the haunted house a few times. It was an extraordinary weekend for Nora. She did not want it to go differently.
The weekend was good for Addison. He had a baseball game. He won 15 to 5. He was so happy. Addison scored 1 run. The weather was sunny. His dad came to his game. He got a snack and they went home.
The weekend was great. Brandon got to go to Rainbow Play Systems. It is a fun place. He went to the trampoline first. There were three trampolines. One was bouncy, another one was little and another one was big. Brandon jumped high. Then he played boys vs. girls. The boys had their fort and the girls had their fort. After that they had cake. There was carrot cake, chocolate cake, and a different chocolate cake. After cake we opened presents. Brandon and Charlie had the same card for Louis. Then Louis got two of the same Calvin and Hobbes books. Brandon wishes he could live there.
It was a good weekend for Sophia. She went to an apple orchard to pick apples. She had a good time, but the only thing that she wished was different is that it was too hot! She also went to pet horses. She thought it was really fun! Then all of a sudden her stomach felt different. She was hungry. So she said to her parents “Can we go out for lunch?” “Yes,” they said, “Yes.” So in no time her food was there.
This weekend Andrew went to Louis’s birthday party. He had a lot of fun too. Three were a lot of people, and a lot of play sets and three trampolines. There were a lot of presents for Louis. Andrew got candy because he got a gift bag from Louis. Andrew went home happy as a cloud.
On Sunday Louis had a great weekend with Clive. First his dad took him canoeing with him. Then they played on the beach. Then they climbed back in and went home in their car and drove back to Louis’s house to have cake with Clive. Then they read Calvin and Hobbes. They read for about 5 minutes. Then their dad and mom came to pick up Louis and Clive. Then they took Clive and Louis to the Union. After the Union for dinner they went home. The day before Louis had a birthday party. They jumped on the trampoline, played boys vs. girls, opened presents, and had cake. Then they all went home. It was a great weekend for Louis. P.S. the party lasted for 2 hours.
Abbie’s weekend was good. Her family is growing pumpkins in her backyard. On Saturday when Abbie’s mom went to water the huge garden she popped a pumpkin off the vine. It was super big. She put it on the front porch. It was a good weekend.
On Saturday Makeda went to Louis’s birthday. She had a lot of fun. They plated boys vs. girls. There were two girls against 5 boys, but the firls won. Makeda and Meadow were the only girls. The party started at 2:30 and ended at 4:30, so the party for two hours. It was a great party!
On Sunday Benji had a hard soccer game. The team their soccer team played was really hard so his team plated real hard to win. Then it was half time. It was 3 to 2. The Flyers (his team) were losing. Then in the second half a Flyers player scored. Then the half was over, it was a tie and his mom hear the other kids and coach speak Spanish. No wonder it was a tough game.
On the weekend Dajon went to church and they played music and then we ate some donuts. They played music and I went home and ate dinner and she made ribs and cabbage and macaroni and cheese. And then he went somewhere and he had fun. He went home and he and his sister plated a board game and they went to sleep. He got woken up for school and ate breakfast and went to before school. He played with Lego’s and cleaned up. He went to his classroom and got ready for the day and that is all that was his weekend news.
Finley went to Louis’s birthday party this weekend. It was at Rainbow Play Systems. He had fun playing on play structures and the trampoline. His favorite part was the trampoline. There were chocolate cake and carrot cupcakes.
This weekend Clive canoed to Vilas Beach with Louis and his brother Axel. They had fun. They played Marko Polo and they did an exercise and had a snack. And then the three kids canoed back with their parents. And then they hung out at Louis’s house. Then Clive’s parents took them to the Memorial Union for dinner. They played a little race of running up and down the stairs. It was a great time. The end.
