Healthy Bodies and Minds
As the school year comes to an end, it is important to remember to take care of ourselves. I have told students to bring in water bottles as the weather gets warmer. We are working more and more outside, enjoying our outdoor learning spaces. As a third grade team, we decided to keep our routine as normal as possible through the last week of school. This will help students stay focused on learning until the very end!
This Week's Highlights
Literacy:
Students began exploring persuasive texts this week. They also started their rough drafts for fairy tale letters. Ask your student what fairy tale character they are and who they are writing to!
Math:
Students had fun playing time and money games this week. They are also working on 3-D geometry. Students were challenged to identify, build and draw 3-D shapes. We will continue working on 3-D geometry, as well as time and money throughout the rest of the year.
